Doug Baker
Director – Project Management
Holding a variety of project management and leadership positions over the past twenty years, Doug has earned a reputation for planning and delivering clinical research projects on time and on budget. His experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries along with his CRO experience enable him to foresee challenges and issues from the client’s perspective and to effectively craft Beaufort’s tailor-made solutions. Doug has managed Phase I to Phase IV clinical studies in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device industries - globally and in multiple therapeutic areas. He is responsible for planning and executing regulatory and clinical research engagements that consistently meet, if not exceed, our clients’ expectations.
Prior to joining Beaufort, Doug held the following positions:
- DP Clinical, Inc. as Executive Director, Clinical Operations.
- LungRX as Senior Project Manager and Program Manager.
- Kendle International as Global Project Leader.
- Registrat, Inc. as Clinical Program Manager.
- Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as Associate Director of Clinical Research and Marketing.
- Roche Pharmaceuticals as Medical Center Representative and Professional Products Representative.
Doug holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Christopher Newport University and a Masters in Health Administration as well as a Masters in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University.
