Lydia Blank, MT (ASCP), SM (AAM), MS, Joins Beaufort

NORFOLK, Va., January 30, 2014—Beaufort, a global contract research organization, has announced the addition of Lydia Blank, MT (ASCP), SM (AAM), MS, to its staff as director of clinical research services. As one of Beaufort’s senior clinical diagnostic experts, Blank directs all aspects of managing and implementing domestic and international clinical trials.

With more than 26 years of clinical laboratory and industrial experience, including the design and management of clinical microbiology and clinical chemistry trials, Blank is highly skilled in working with clients to understand their unique needs, overseeing the clinical trial management process and deploying the appropriate resources.

Prior to joining Beaufort, Blank was a product development team leader (CTL/PM) at Becton Dickinson, successfully bringing to market multiple assays across multiple therapeutic areas and technologies and leading cross-functional teams from product concept to launch. Her experience allows her to bring a unique understanding of customer and business requirements to Beaufort’s clients.

Blank holds a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology from West Virginia University and a Master’s degree in medical technology from Temple University.  She holds certifications as a Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and SM (AAM) certification for Specialty in Public Health and Medicine by the American Academy of Microbiology.
